Prints and Framing

Gary Longley FISH ART offers a couple of options for prints and framing.

FINE ART Giclee Prints

The word Giclée (“g-clay”), is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray”, Giclée, is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper to achieve Giclée prints of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability.

Your Giclee print has been created on beautiful Hahnemühle 310gsm museum grade German cold press 100% cotton rag paper using fully archival Epson UltraChrome® pigment inks.

All Hahnemühle FineArt inkjet papers provide the best conditions to create long lasting fine art InkJet prints which can last for more than 100 years.

STANDARD PRINTS

A more economic high quality option InkJet printed onto Premium Quality Watercolour Paper, Cold Pressed, 300gsm Textured, and Acid Free, using Lucia Pro Archival Inks.

Sizes up to A3 only.

All Giclee prints have a spray coat of matte varnish which is designed to add an extra level of protection to the ink on the paper. This coating also protects from dirt, dust, smoke, fading, moisture, discolouration, abrasion, and other atmospheric contaminants.

FRAMING  (NZ ONLY)

I would recommend taking your Fine Art print to a professional picture framer for the best options and results for your artwork.

However for Standard prints a Square Profile Black Frame with white mat border can be provided. The mat is the same as the print size ie: larger frame.

Generally the charts are not formatted to allow for a border to maximise the area of the chart.

Frames may vary depending on supplier stock.
